After having 2 C-sections (my last being 20 months ago), I was told by every physician that cared for me in my 3rd pregnancy that I would not have a vaginal birth. Regardless of what they said I was determined to have a VBAC, although I still had a inch of doubt that it would actually happen. Concerned with the birth plan, I started inquiring about additional support for the birth. I was then introduced to the benefits of having a doula. On a hunt to find one that would take me at 35 weeks, I was introduced to Cassandra. From the first phone call we had, I knew she was exactly what I was looking for. She heard my concerns and was fantastic at providing me the support I needed to get through the process of birthing my beautiful baby girl. When my midwife, my ob and others in my space did not trust that I was going to have a VBAC, she did. Her courage, support and wiseness allowed me to trust in my body and the beautiful things it can do. Thank you sis for all that you’ve done and are still doing for my family and I.
